'Eavy Metal Miniatures

Way back, right at the beginning of the production, we asked the ‘Eavy Metal guys in Nottingham to paint miniatures of the main characters from the movie, as one-offs, for display at the Codex Pictures office.

They did a great job, as you can see here: Verenor, holding the Auspex Scanner (below), and Proteus (above).

the artwork

yeah, very dissapointed that they changed the helmets (in the artwork) in that way. On that artwork I don't think the arms are very well proportioned. The elbows should come down to just above your waist on theirs it's half way down their torso. If they don't sort this out I'm going to get very upset because I'm a warhammer 40k enthusiast psychopath! SO SORT IT OUT GW! DON'T FIX WHAT AIN'T BROKE!!!!!!!!!!

Dreadnought

does anyone if there will be a dreadnought in the movie?

Uhm...

I can see the top one has some fancy stuff freehanded on him, like the awfully slim movie-style Ultramarines symbol - but the one with the auspex, what makes him Verenor?
He looks nothing like the concept art.
To me, that's just another Space Marine looking his best averagely awesome.

mini

looking good guy's

nice

that looks great; just what i would expect from the finest miniature painters in the world. My one and only criticism is that it looks too bright and contradicts the ultramarines artwork with its hue.

That is what the armour should look like; copy paste into your browser.

That aside, the highlighting looks fantastic and the bolter is just gorgeous.

I hate resorting to a wiki but the Evy'Metal guys have it right.
Ultramarine the colour existed long before citadel put it in a bottle.

Example of a Space Marine.

I dont know if any of you know of Brock Lesnar. He is the example of what the should have modeled. Here are some pics i found. If the armor was taken off of a space marine this is what i think it would look like (Granted Brock would be between 7 and 8 feet tall)
