The vast majority of the concept work thus far has been pretty awesome, with one or two exceptions, the armoury being one. I agree that the colour is very off, but I think the arcitecture is also wrong. The Ultramarines are supposed to have a very classical look so think Ancient Rome of Greece. Thois looks waaaay too Dark Angels, who are a VERY gothic chapter. I know, I collect a successor chapter of thiers. I also agree that it doesnt seem to serve the function of an armoury. Personally it looks like a briefing room, or maybe a meditation chamber.
On a slight note, the strike cruiser is waaaaay too squat and short. I would imagine that the vessels the Astartes use are at the very pinnicle of current 40k tech, and thus this should be represented in their war gear, which includes their battleships.
One of the big fan concerns seems to have been maintaining the gothic theme while being practical and also conveying the 'clean' look of the Ultramarines Chapter (as opposed to Space Wolves for example). I think this is a great example of what we were hoping to see.
hi i am a huge fan of 40k i got a ultramarines army my self and i was wondering if u would know roughly when the movie will be released the concept art looks great i very much look forward to seing the movie so it would be awsome to know a rough release date :)
I hope the armory concept art is only a primary fase, an exemple of what the armory will be like. I don't like it very much, textures and models are bad in my opinion, and also there're no boltguns, ammo and so on...what kind of armory doesn't have weapons? I don't like the lights effects too.
The Apothecarion concept is a very good one. But...maybe too small? It's just a room, I imagin that in the fortress of Hera on Macragge, the Apothecarion sector should be incredibly big. However, I know that a very big virtual location is tecnically difficult to realize, and that concept is already very well done.
Sorry for my bad English,
Francesco
I think the armory looks too...teal? Aqua maybe? Whatever color it is, its doesn't work. I know the Ultramarines are blue and what-not, but I wouldn't think EVERYTHING in their fortress has to be blue as well. Like the Apothecarion! Its not blue and it looks good. I agree its a little small, but maybe its just one of many? I'm sure with such a large chapter and fortress , the Ultramarines have many apothecarions. One for injured veterans, one for scouts, maybe a few research labs? The Apothecarions looks great though. The Armory? I just don't like the color.

Looks great!
This movie should be amazing:). One nitpick I can find is that the strike cruiser looks a little short.
I agree about the strike
I agree about the strike cruiser. It should look a bit more like a battle barge in the codex, but in a slightly smaller scale.
Armory, Apothecarion

It looks pretty good, but the
It looks pretty good, but the colour isn't that great and i think it needs a range for testing the weapons
